As a National Resource created by the NIH, the Developmental Studies Hybridoma Bank (DSHB) remains true to its basic mission, to distribute mAbs and hybridoma cell lines at cost. The price is around $40 per ml of supernatant. A new website format includes thumbnail images in the general catalog for each DSHB mAb. The thumbnail images in most cases are fluorescently stained samples, but in some cases include another application such as a western. Each image includes at the bottom the name and institution of the scientist who provided it (e.g., D. Soll, UIOWA). There is also an NCI initiative regarding the RAS signaling pathways. These antibodies were generated against 27 phosphopeptides and 69 unmodified peptides, representing 20 RAS network proteins, and are ready for distribution through the DSHB. The list of these 20 targets (red), as well as DSHB mAbs against other RAS pathway targets (black), is presented below. |
