Find NZ Researchers Working On Less Common and Rare Cancer Types

Common Cancer Types

The ten cancer types in New Zealand diagnosed most frequency are indicated in the following list. The list excludes a type of skin cancer called basal cell carcinoma (BCC), which is by far the most frequent cancer type in NZ. However, as this cancer is not a notifiable cancer to the NZ Cancer Registry, the rate of BCC in NZ is not accurately known.

1) Prostate Cancer, 2) Breast Cancer, 3) Colon and Rectal Cancer, 4) Melanoma, 5) Lung Cancer, 6) Uterus and Gynaecological Cancer, 7) Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, 8) Leukemia, 9) Kidney Cancer, 10) Pancreatic Cancer
